Come Fairies, take me out of this dull world, for I would ride with you upon the wind, and dance upon the mountains like a flame!
~W.B. Yeats

Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,

The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet.

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams...

Swan tin

I love swans.

I think they are so beautiful. I don't understand howcome no one ever designs one wearing a crown. So I added my own.

That crown is too cute. Very beautiful stitching and finishing.

Awww, that is sweet! Swans are indeed beautiful birds. I have many doilies and traycloths with swans embroidered on them. I think they must have been a fad in the 1950's, as there are so many designs from that era.
I had a giggle when I read your comment on my Stitchin Fingers page, saying your husband thought it was cute that you created a blog and have put your pictures on it! Ken was amazed at me when I first did it, and wanted to know how I figured it out for myself without asking him, LOL!

Hi Narita, your stitching is all so lovely and I couldn't believe your kitty, she is identical to mine. Love your blog.
